January 12, 2012: Zip International Group Recalls Sliced Herring Fillet In Oil
On January 10, 2012, Zip International Group, based in Edison, NJ, recalled Sliced Herring Fillet in Oil (Forelka) because it tested positive for the foodborne pathogen, Listeria.
The recalled sliced herring is from the Ukraine, but it was sold in the New York Metropolitan Area. The recalled sliced herring was packaged in both 330gm and 600gm plastic containers; it has a “Best By” date of March 6, 2012.
