Bekkum Family Farms Cheese Recall News – On January 3, 2012, Bekkum Family Farms announced a recall for shredded cheese due to potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recalled cheese is labeled “Grumpy Goat Shreds” and is marketed under the Nordic Creamery brand name. The recall was initiated because the cheese was shredded on the same equipment used for shredding another brand of cheese that tested positive for the foodborne pathogen, Listeria monocytogenes.
