Cambrooke Listeria Cream Cheese Recall News – Cambrooke Foods has recalled its Low Protein Peanot Butter™ and Imitation Cream Cheese products, because the products may be contaminated with the foodborne pathogen Listeria monocytogenes.
Cambrooke Listeria Cream Cheese Recall Information
Imitation Cream Cheese Products subject to the recall include:
•Cheddar Wizard Low Protein Imitation Cream Cheese (SKU 10310; 8 oz. jar);
•Herb & Garlic Low Protein Imitation Cream Cheese (SKU 10308; 8 oz. jar); and
•Plain Low Protein Imitation Cream Cheese (SKU 10306; 8 oz. jar).
Cambrooke Foods also recalled all batches of the Peanot Butter as listed below:
•Low Protein Peanot Butter™ (SKU 10809; 16 oz. jar).
The recalled products should not be eaten.
The recall was initiated after routine batch testing detected the presence of Listeria in some of the Cream Cheese products. The Low Protein Peanot Butter™ was also recalled since it is produced in the same facility, using the same machinery used to produce the Imitation Cream Cheese products.
About Listeria
The bacterium Listeria, can cause life-threatening infections in young children, the elderly, and immunocompromised. In pregnant women, listeriosis (or Listeria infection) can cause miscarriage or stillbirth.
