Dole Salad Recall News– On October 17, 2012, Dole Fresh Vegetables initiated a recall for its American Brand 12 oz. salad bags due to concerns of Listeria monocytogenes contamination. According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the recalled salad bags were distributed to ten U.S. states including: Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

Symptoms of Listeriosis can may include fever, muscle aches, fatigue, and sometimes gastrointestinal symptoms, such nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.
